"My daughter has been an active participant of the Essentially Elegant mentoring program for almost four years. She has received tremendous support from the founder, Dr. Shakira Lynn.

 

She enjoys the programs and looks forward to interacting with the other girls. Especially, during a time of isolation while enduring the 2020 COVID pandemic. This program has held a great deal of importance in our lives!

 

The Essentially Elegant Program is very resourceful in many ways! My daughter has learned about time management. She has received the tools that aid in recognition of the type of personality she has, to develop relationships and to excel in school! She has been continuously encouraged to value herself and to set goals.  The curriculum workbook provided to the girls was detailed and age appropriate, overall, it was a wonderful resource to have. My daughter felt like Dr. Lynn's personality was very encouraging. She supported her by rewarding her for participation. We received help with back to school supplies, which had a great influence on my daughter's enthusiasm to start her school year on a positive note! Dr. Lynn has also offered mentoring for the future school year!

 

The support and commitment of the program is unmatched, especially in a time where young girls need positive role models outside of their homes. We are sincerely thankful to be a part of this amazing organization! It is our prayer that this program continues to grow to touch more young girls."
